Brings a unique prospective to oral surgery and implantology. Dr. Metwally started his education journey at the prestigious and only 3 year dental school in North America at University of the Pacific in San Francisco, California. He spent the three years embedded in the oral surgery program and Highland hospital in Oakland. He followed dental school with another year of hospital residency at Mercy Medical hospital in Canton, Ohio. Working and being staffed in a hospital expanded his scope drastically. This was a very surgery intensive position where the work ranged from extractions of impacted teeth to routinely dealing with trauma and pathology cases in the emergency room and operating rooms.
Dr. Metwally is a highly experienced dentist with a thriving private practice since 2012, specializing in complex dental procedures, particularly dental implants. He has dedicated hundreds of hours to ongoing education in implant dentistry and sedation to ensure the highest patient care standards.
Certified in ACLS since 2011, Dr. Metwally is recognized for his proficiency in IV sedation and collaboration with anesthesiologists, guaranteeing safe and comfortable surgical procedures.His implantology journey, commencing in 2011, has encompassed comprehensive training under renowned professionals and a wide array of procedures. These include surgical extractions, alveoplasty, sinus augmentations, single and multiple implants, full mouth rehabilitation, same-day loading protocols, and innovative techniques like zygomatic, nasalis, and pterygoid implants.
What sets Dr. Metwally apart is his unique understanding of both the restorative and surgical aspects of implant dentistry. This enables him to play a pivotal role in interdisciplinary treatment teams, fostering strong relationships with major implant companies in Southern Ontario and expanding the horizon of treatment options for patients.
